okay. it's cold. Which I guess considering it is December Germany can have the Mikayla approval on that one. But it's reallllly cold. Bring on the scarves and tights. Christmas is here. Are you PUMPED? You should be. This is the best time of the year. By far. Especially here where I swear there is a new holiday everyday. Not that I am complaining, it is wonderful. Never eaten so much chocolate in my life...
I am sure by now you have all heard about the amazing Christmas initiative and if you haven't then get on that because you are behind the times. I love it. When they showed it to us I was literally giddy. Could not stop smiling. Still can't stop smiling. Why is this church so cool? Gah I am just so stinkin pumped about it. And we are doing all we can to get Germany equally as pumped for it. We have the snazzy new cards and we have been asked to hand out ten of them a day. Which means talking to AT LEAST ten people about it every day. Then you know Sister Johnson and I... always wanting to take things one step further, making goals that we can actually have control over when everyone goes into their little depressed mode cause it's dark and gloomy. So we made a goal to hand out 100 Books of Mormon this month. Let me tell you, it is really keeping us on our toes.
Up until this point I have kinda been hesitant to hand out Books of Mormon like candy, thinking people wouldn't read it and it would just be a waste and whatnot... but we read a talk called 'Flood the Earth with the Book of Mormon' and all these stories of random people who have read it like without the cover or whatever and changed their life because of it. Now we have a goal. Flood Münster with the Book of Mormon. Feel free to join us at any given time and give a Book of Mormon to your friend, co worker, next door neighbor, cashier at Walmart, random person on the street, take your pick. They all need the gospel. They all need what you have. They all need love and peace that they don't even know is possible.
I have been amazed as I teach people from all different backgrounds how it has forced me to see this gospel in a new light. I look at the pool of people we teach from every age group from 17 to 83. From every place from Nigeria to America. From every background, from thinking their life is worthless to thinking they are perfect and don't need to make changes. Rich and poor. Families and the Lonely. It is for EVERYONE. Every single person. I cannot tell you how many times I put on my little judgemental cap and think someone isn't going to listen to us or that they seem like the I-hate-mormons type and yet they seem to be the ones that love and need the gospel the most. Don't hesitate. Just do it.
What gifts are you giving Him this Christmas?
xoxoxo

ps: one more little ps I gotta throw in here for good measure. ELKIN IS BACK IN BUSINESS. So dang happy that his appointment actually went through this week that I felt like it was letter worthy. And we have a dear member that comes to translate for him and Ruano. Thank goodness. Maybe they can still progress without Sister Teeple's spanish skills here.... Heavenly Father has got this one in the bag. Thanks.
Note: The way to make the Branch love you. Sing Jingle Bells while wearing matching sweaters and sister hats complete with Jazz fingers. Winner.
Seriously Can't get enough of all these Holiday Fesitivities. In other News, Elder Lehmitz is gone and Elder Rock is training again. Whoop. Whoop. Now we got some real golden power up here in Münster huh?
Luckie was so kind to take us all to a castle as Elder Lehmitz's goodbye present...
