Currently writing from this cute little German cafe inside a cute little German town inside cute little Wiesbaden. Ah. I am just the luckiest. I only have a few minutes, but I will try to give you a little low down.
Yesterday was perfect. Literally.
It's amazing how much that Sunday rejuvenation keeps me going. We begin the meeting and in walks Sister Munoz, Sister Shibler and her son, Saskia and her baby, Sister Lorredo and just all of these amazing people that we have been trying to get to come back to church since I got here. Eep. It just made me so dang happy. Our ward is growing! Sister Shibler was baptized when she was 15 and hadn't been to church in 30 years. And finally when she came to Wiesbaden, she got up the guts to take a step out of her comfort zone and come be fed some spiritual truth. We have called her every Sunday after church this transfer and finally it paid off! After sacrament meeting she just turned to me with tears in her eyes and explained how much she missed this. Her son was pretty teenager-ish. You know where you say hi and they kinda look at their shoes and make it way obvious they don't want to be there? Yep. But seriously it was like a night and day difference. After young men's he was just raving about how much he loves the youth program here and was way excited to go to youth group on Tuesday. Eep. Sister Munoz hasn't been to church in forever due to that icky depression stuff that always gets people down. And she actually came! And immediately she and Sister Shibler just start chatting away in Spanish (assuming it went well considering the only words I understood were beueno and si) exchanging numbers and such. #instantbestfriends Saskia hadn't been to church once in the past 3 transfers. She is awesome. Like strongest testimony of the Book of Mormon ever. You would never guess she wasn't a member. She can't get baptized until she gets married next year, but we are trying to keep her testimony up and get her to start coming to church again and... She did. And stayed for all three hours. Through the chastity lesson and everything. Miracle. Not to mention Sister Hadfield gave the most beautiful testimony. Ah. I remember how hard it was leaving Münster.... **sigh** she never cries. But she found her tear ducts as she shared what was closest to her heart with the people she loved so dearly. I just felt so much stinking love for her in that moment. And then to close out the meeting we sang the words to one of my favorite hymns that summed up exactly how I was feeling in that moment. All is well. All is well.
btw got called to train... again. Plot twist. Pretty much shocked the pants off me. Seriously. How come every danger day turns into a freak out sesh? I am going to miss Sister Hadfield so much. These 6 weeks have just flown by and I feel like we got major jipped. So basically we are just going to be stress eating for the next few days. Aka: burnt cookies for the win. Hehe But really. I am just way too excited for my wee little golden and we are ready to make some miracles happen.
bring on the golden power.

Ps: just for future reference if you ever happen to be filling up a baptismal font in the Wiesbaden German chapel. Don't only use hot water. I know. I know. You want it to stay warm for the next four hours.. But. The fire alarm will go off. For 30 minutes. No I don't know this from experience...but if by chance that happens? the organist is super helpful in figuring out how to turn it off. :)
Comp aprons for the win.
Zone selfie. Boo yah.
Yes. We are happy over here.
We did this obstacle course for a missionary's morning for the youth in our stake this week. Success.
Future elders. 3 legged race and everything. Gotta stay with that companion ya know?
I'm going to miss her so much.
Party at the bishops house.
Let's play spot the elders. We walk by this castle once a week. Yes my eyes are spoiled.
Impromptu service project. We got invited to join this crew in making blankets for all the refugees. Never cut so much fleece in my life. I felt like I was in an etsy shop the whole time with all these cute little blonde ladies with the cutest fashion.
