All is well.

Considering how much I love lists and the fact that I spent way too much time on my other emails this week... Here's a little taste of my lovely week.

Ten lovely things that happened to me this week :

1. Split miracles. Working on talking to everyone and even when you do it by yourself and no one has really had interest.. someone just walks up to you and asks you where the church is? What? so cool. Thank you.

2. I can now say I have survived the ghetto side of Duisburg in the late hours of the night with only a few cat calls and minimal creeps. Thanks to Sister Madsen's Penguin Jacket and my karate moves I think we scared the brunt of them off.

3. After a scorching hot indian meal that may have trumped the spicy rice incident, my taste buds are still living.

4. Had to say goodbye to my one Duisburg friend over the age of 10 today (okay that's not-so-lovely) but the lovely part is that she is going to join the mission ranks in London. eep. so exciting.

5. Lovin' the interviews with president. What a good man. Seriously just listening to eveyone's problems all day long? What a saint.

6. The toothless lady with the flowers who talked with me on the bus. Sometimes a good little grin is exactly what I need.
7. The fact that our Christmas lights are still up in our apartment and there is no sign of us ever not celebrating Christmas. Bring on the hot cocoa and year round Christmas trees.
8. Sister Madsen sacrifices for me and runs with me three days a week even though she absolutely hates it.
9. Our neighbor who stopped to ask us what we are doing here from America and we gave him a Book of Mormon. Still not sure if he is interested in us or the church... but hey talk to everyone right?
10.  Snow. We actually had real. live. snow. Like the kind that sticks and lasts for a few days and your toes are numb all day long and you sing the standing-outside-with-my-mouth-open-wide barney song and pretend they are gumdrops? yep. that kind. hehe good times.

love ya

And yes I am a head taller than the average grown Sri Lanken woman.

Maybe Duisburg isn't as ugly as everyone says it is?
